Critical Fitness

This year I bet you got off to a great start.  Exercising most every day-no fats, lots of cardio, and plenty of stress reducing activities.  But now its March and the burning desire to stick with your New Year’s resolution to lose weight is fading away.  Sound familiar?  We see it so much in the health club business-and it really makes us feel uneasy!

Right now I bet its a mental block for some to get to the gym.  We all are making time for important things in our lives - yet sometimes we forget about our well-being.  The reason we started exercising in January in the first place.

So here’s some tips to get you back in focus:

Mix it up-try something different-like a Zumba class or Gravity Training.

Work out with a partner-one of you is always motivated when the other might not be.

Vary your workout intensity-it doesn’t always have to be fast and furious!

Re-examine your exercise goals-set new ones, ones that are reachable within the next 30 days.

Hire the best-nothing like working with a great personal trainer!

Throw the fad diet out the door-eat sensible with focus on portion control and lowering your fat intake-it’s the only way.

And finally, remember that exercise is a process-it’s taken you some time to get in the shape you currently are in, and it will take you some more time to get were you finally want to be.  Make exercise a lifestyle, not just a New Year’s resolution.
